All Funds Budgeting
Reports
The Report Builder tab has been given a complete overhaul to better separate out the different types of reports for easier organization, bringing back the ability to save a custom report based on an existing template such as one of the standard ClearGov reports, and new functionality to share a custom report with the rest of the organization. Finally, the tab name itself has been simplified to “Reports.”
Creating a custom report can follow one of a couple of different paths. On each of the report-specific tabs is the “Create Custom Report” button in the top right that will ask for some additional information such as the template to build this report from. The template selection will determine the column format, sorting, grouping, and filtering options that will automatically be applied to the new report.
For right now, only ClearGov Standard and ERP reports can be chosen as the template, but this will be expanded in the future to also include custom reports.
The other way to create a custom report is from within another report. After making changes to an existing report, the option to save a custom report is available which follows similar requirements when creating a new report from the button.
All custom-created reports live in the Custom Reports tab and can be further managed with new functionality available. This is where the ability to share a report is available if that wasn’t selected during the creation of the report. As well, any report on any tab can now be selected as a favorite to allow for easier filtering to those that are most important.
Any custom report that’s no longer needed can be archived to help maintain an active list of reports to be used. This option — as well as the ability to favorite — is found within the actions menu.
Personnel Budget Import Updates
Within the personnel budget import process, if one or more forecast years are included on the Worksheet tab and there are future years set up within the selected personnel budgeting scenario, that data will now be available to import into the Worksheet tab. These additional fiscal years will be denoted in the import tab as Forecasted.
The workflow is the same where a scenario must be selected for each forecasted year. Then a confirmation page displays what specific information will be available to import in the Worksheet with errors called out and modifications made as needed.
Additional import rounding options are also now available within the drop-down menu to further refine the information that will be presented in the Worksheet tab. This will be found during the review stage for each of the tabs to import. The same selection will apply to all import tabs for consistency.
Funding Package Updates
Whenever a Funding Package is approved and included in the Worksheet, the created itemizations will now automatically have the justification type(s) and justification details associated with it within the form view on the Worksheet tab. This will help keep the Funding Package information in sync with the Worksheet tab and provide a starting point for additional changes to the new itemizations as needed.
