Basic Template

Budget Book on ClearDocs now has an option to create a budget book with a “Basic” template, available in the General Information Step of the creation workflow. This new template type creates a simplified version of the budget book without all the static, introductory pages automatically created with the GFOA or ASBO templates. Additionally, award criteria will not display by default with this template but you can still toggle these on in document settings.

Option to Change System Generated Chart Types

You now have the ability to update the display of charts that are automatically created on financial pages.  By default the system creates donut charts for single year data and stacked column charts for multi year.  You can now change single year charts to pie or bar charts, and multi year ones to stacked mountain or stacked bar charts.  This can be done at an individual chart level on each page by clicking configure from the options dropdown. However, this can also be configured through document settings to update universally on all page types. 

Indicator on Spreadsheets where Columns would Wrap on PDF

When a user adds a spreadsheet to their document it is difficult to know if the columns on that spreadsheet would be too wide to fit on a page of the PDF.  A toggle option has been added to that component in the canvas view while editing the spreadsheet to display where the PDF cutoff would be on the given table.  Users will be able to see and adjust columns and widths so that spreadsheets will display better when printing the PDF version of the document.

Ability to View and Edit Dynamic Figures

ClearDocs now allows users to edit and view details around Dynamic Figures.  With this release, you can now click into dynamic figures and see the details of them and even potentially edit or delete them.  If that dynamic figure is used more than once it cannot be deleted, but it can be removed from the narrative. If the figure is not used anywhere else then the system will allow you to delete it. Note: if you edit the figure, then it will update in all places it is used!
