Digital Budget Book
Sorting of Tables
Financial Schedule tables now let you choose how categories sort: Chart of Accounts order (the current default) or alphabetical, by category or line item name. Set it per table in the Financial Schedule Editor, or apply it account-wide under Table Configurations → Table Presentation. No more manually reordering rows to get the sequence you want.
Include Job Titles in Position Count DBB tables
Position Count tables can now include job titles, so communities can show positions by department down to the individual job title, without manually rebuilding these tables for each budget book.
Disclosure Studio
Disclosure Studio updates apply to all modules on Disclosure Studio unless otherwise specified.
User Permissions by Report Type, Module & Report (with Workflow Overrides)
Administrators can now control access at three levels in Disclosure Studio: report type (e.g., ACFR, Budget Book on Disclosure Studio, PAFR), module (e.g., MDFM), and individual report. Users only see the content relevant to their role, and direct links to restricted content are blocked. Workflow assignments can also grant section-level edit access even when a user otherwise has view-only permissions. Contributors edit exactly what they own, and nothing more.
- Go to Settings > User Management in Disclosure Studio.
- Select a user and open their Permissions.
- Assign the report types, modules, and reports the user should be able to access.
- Optionally, use Workflow assignments to grant section-level edit access on specific reports.
- Save. Restricted content is hidden immediately and blocked via direct links.
- Without a workflow override, users with View-only access can see report content but can't edit any of it.
Hyperlinks in Manual & Excel Tables
You can now add clickable hyperlinks inside your tables. Whether you use the HYPERLINK formula or the "Insert Link" option in the table context menu, links in Manual and Excel tables carry through to your generated PDF with proper hyperlink styling.
- Open a Manual or Excel table in your report.
- Select a cell, then either use the HYPERLINK formula or right-click and choose Insert Link.
- Enter the URL (and display text) and confirm.
- Generate your PDF. The link appears clickable and styled as a hyperlink.
Copy Cell Formatting Across Cells & Sheets (Format Painter)
Formatting tables just got faster. Copy the formatting of any cell, including borders, fonts, and colors, and apply it to other cells in the same sheet or across sheets, without rebuilding the style by hand.
- Select the cell with the formatting you want to reuse.
- Use the copy-format option in the table toolbar/context menu.
- Select the target cell or cells, in the same sheet or another sheet, and apply.
Theme Admin – Multi-Page Theme Gallery Preview
Preview a full theme before you apply it. The theme gallery now shows five representative pages, including a cover, divider, table of contents, chart page, and table page, so you can see how your report will actually look before committing.
- Open the Select a Theme step during onboarding.
- Browse the theme list on the left. The first theme is selected by default.
Rich Text Formatting in Custom Fields
Custom fields now support rich text. Mark specific words as bold, italic, underlined, or add hyperlinks directly inside a custom field, and the formatting carries through everywhere the field is used, including in the generated PDF.
- Open the custom field editor.
- Select the word(s) you want to format.
- Apply bold, italic, underline, or insert a hyperlink from the formatting options.
- Save the field. The formatting appears everywhere the field is placed.
Underline Formatting in Manual Tables
Manual tables now support underline formatting, alongside bold and italic. Select any cell text and apply it from the toolbar. It persists through save and into your generated PDF.
- Open a manual table and select the cell text.
- Click the Underline button in the table toolbar.
- Save. Formatting persists and renders in the PDF.
